Permitting and Compliance
We specialize in helping our clients navigate complex project permitting and compliance for utilities, transportation, and green infrastructure projects.
Surf to Snow interacts with relevant agencies and stakeholders across the West Coast on our clients’ behalf to ensure that the appropriate permits will be obtained and the project proceeds smoothly and efficiently. We evaluate projects early in the planning phase to provide project options and recommendations to minimize potential environmental impacts, when possible, thereby often minimizing unnecessary permits. When required, we have experience obtaining minesterial and discretionary permits and can help clients through the construction phase to stay in compliance with all permit requirements.
Our team provides experience with local, county, regional, state, and federal permitting and regulatory agencies. Agency coordination experience includes: US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Federal Aviation Administration, Bureau of Land Management, California Coastal Commission, California Public Utilities Commission, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, State Water Resources Control Board, Regional Water Boards, and Regional Flood Control and Water Districts. We monitor current laws and regulations and ongoing changes to ensure our clients’ projects are in compliance.
