S2S is Prime consultant providing Wildlife Biologist Services for Buchanan Field and Byron Airport. S2S has held the contract since 2016 and was awarded the contract renewal in 2020. S2S works with County Airports’ staff to complete surveys and other tasks. The on-call contract scope of services includes reviewing Range Manager reports monthly and providing recommendations to the Range Manager; conducting special-status species surveys and habitat field visits for SJKF, and CTS; conducting special status species surveys and habitat field visits for species that could occur within the Habitat Management Land (HML) and immediate vicinity, including, CRLF, vernal pool fairy shrimp (Branchinecta lynchi) as well as with species that may occur including American badger (Taxidea taxus), western burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia hypugea)(BUOW), tricolored blackbird (Agelaius tricolor), white-tailed kite (Elanus leucurus), ferruginous hawk (Buteo regalis), northern harrier (Circus cyaneus), and WPT.
